Top Gear USA is off to a crackin' jolly good start (see what I did there?). In their first episode the boys have proven that us damn Yankees can do this funny, exotic automotive abuse thing too! Maybe not as epic and animated as Mr. Clarkson, but give it some time and I'm sure the Brits will be quoting us in their native tongue. In their first episode the Top Gear USA chaps reviewed the Dodge Viper ACR-X, the most venomous viper on the lot. Powered by an SRT derived 8.4-liter V10 with factory tuned headers and less restrictive exhaust system bless the ACR-X with an extra 40bhp over the Viper ACR, which bumps the ponies up to 640bhp. All that horsepower, combined with a weight reduction of 160lbs makes this snake a sidewinder with even the lightest right foot.
The video features the stateside version of the infamous Stig as he puts the ACR-X through it's paces on the Top Gear USA's 1.6 mile tracks, just as Dodge intended it to be. The Dodge Viper ACR-X is on sale now for $110,000.
