Ladies and gentlemen, you're now looking at BMW's new Geneva auto show concept car dubbed Vision ConnectedDrive.
The ConnectedDrive is the latest concept popping out of BMW's Vision concept shop, touting tons of new-age technology similar to what the previous EfficientDynamics concept achieved. Based off of the current roadster chassis, the ConnectedDrive has an exaggerated front end which enhances the visibility of the cabin -- the showcase of this spaceship-like vehicle.
Some of the futuristic features include:
- Electric sliding doors
- A plethora of front and rear sensors which detect obstacles even while in motion
- Feature-indicating multi-colored fiber optic lighting which represents dataflow throughout the vehicle
- 3D holographic heads-up display representing all sorts of vehicle data, also uses augmented reality for navigation purposes
The gist of this vehicle is the "connected experience", meaning the vehicle will deliver tons of data, but only show you the relevent dataset at any given time. This reduces the number of distractions that the driver may encounter.
We will continue to update Autoteknika as this vehicle hits the show floors around the world.
